These digital tools can also facilitate financial inclusion by providing digital financial services, such as mobile banking and credit scoring, to smallholder farmers.

By addressing these challenges and implementing both nature-based solutions and digital technologies, sub-Saharan Africa can build more resilient food systems capable of withstanding and recovering from various shocks.
