The AECF LLC announces the appointment of Frank N. J. Braeken as the Chair of the Board of Directors
Nairobi, Kenya, January 17, 2024 – The AECF (AECF) is a leading development fund institution providing early and growth-stage businesses in agribusiness and renewable energy sectors with capital and growth support services. AECF is delighted to announce the appointment of Frank N.J. Braeken as its new Board Chairman.
Mr. Braeken has been a non-executive Director of AECF for the last four (4) years. He is a seasoned director and leader, having served on various boards and held diverse leadership positions. He is also an investor who brings experience and expertise to AECF, having spent over 30 years in the global consumer goods and agri-food industries. His career spans leadership roles across continents, with a deep understanding of African markets and entrepreneurial ecosystems.
As Regional President, Mr. Braeken steered operations for institutions in Africa, China, and the Middle East, achieving impressive growth and spearheading sustainability initiatives. He currently serves as an active investor and advisor in agri-food, leveraging his extensive network and knowledge to support promising ventures across the continent.
