Expression of Interest for Investing in Women in Nigeria Programme Cooperative Window
Investing in Women in Nigeria (IIW-Nigeria)
The IIW-Nigeria Programme seeks to transform the roles of women operating in various agricultural value chains in Kano State, Nigeria, to increase incomes, improve climate resilience and transform livelihoods. The target is women owned/led businesses and women cooperatives operating in the agricultural space that demonstrate high impact for women in their value chains.
Window 2: Women Cooperatives
The Window 2 Competition will support 40 successful cooperatives with funds to gain access to productive assets, i.e., land, agricultural technologies, and markets that would benefit their members. The grants to women’s cooperatives would also enable investment in the activities of the associations that would lead to increased incomes for their women members, such as investing in better technology or processing inputs. Finance will be accompanied by capacity building support provided through local service providers to ensure that the targeted cooperatives have the financial and operational management capacity to deliver to their members.
This competition window was launched in October 2024 and will be completed in April 2025.
