Dr. Marindame Kombate
Head of REACT and Investments
Dr. Kombate has over 15 years of investment and project management experience in the renewable energy sector. Before joining AECF, he consulted with the Switzerland-based Impact Investing Solutions as a Business Advisor for a social enterprise portfolio. Dr. Kombate has also held senior positions at various organizations, including LGT Venture Philanthropy, UNDP, and Camco Clean Energy, where he drove investment initiatives in the renewable energy sector across West Africa. He has a rich history in deal-sourcing, structuring, and portfolio management across various African countries. His experience and academic background have given him an understanding of the intricate dynamics of the sustainable energy sector, particularly within the context of development. He holds a BSc in Business Administration from the University of Ghana, a Master of Development Finance from the University of Stellenbosch Business School, and a PhD in Accounting and Finance from De Montfort University.
